AeroMaps sophisticated mapping system is built into their own ultralight aircraft. This is based on an internal development project which was awarded at "2015 Austrian State Engineering Award".
A gimbal mount carrying all sensors, including the laserscanner, and the experience of our pilot in alpine environment help provide high quality data even under challenging conditions.
Furthermore we operate a unique system for worldwide mapping in collaboration with Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH.
The mapping system ADAM (Airborne Data Acquisition and Mapping) of Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH provides a simple worldwide mapping solution and consists of a laser scanner, aerial cameras (RGB and NIR), thermal camera as well as GPS/IMU. It can be operated by one person, therefore permitting an efficient mapping mission by renting a suitable Cessna 182 or 206 at or near the project site.
