The synchronized GPS/IMU system, operating in combination with all mapping sensors, enables the direct geo-referencing of all data without ground control points. This is especially helpful for mapping remote areas, as would be the case in rainforests. Time and cost intensive terrestrial surveys can be reduced or avoided.
Stable heading information even on long straight mapping lines is provided by the dual antenna solution. This real-time system feeds high-precision position data to the gimbal electronics.
